A visit to the V&A's magnificent new entrance in Exhibition Road (described on my other blog). Inside, the Collections seem lit anew. Jacob Epstein made this Portrait of Albert Einstein in 1933 when Einstein was briefly staying in the UK. The sculptor said that Einstein's face delighted him: "his glance contained a mixture of the humane, the humorous and the profound . . . He resembled the ageing Rembrandt."
You'll find it in the Victoria and Albert Sculpture Galleries on the ground floor where it's on loan from the Tate.
