Lots of hand-wringing and guilt-inducing words in the newspapers (I don't have a TV) about what we eat and how we're becoming obese as a nation. Gentle reader, not even the scientists doing the research have time to sit down to 2 balanced meals a day. The lucky ones live near enough to their labs to be able to ride a bike. At least they know that this will keep them in trim and mitigate the effect of the chocolate bars.
We can at least try to have proper meals rather than snacks because we probably know we will stay full for longer and quite possibly get more work done. My favourite way of doing this has become Deliveroo. Was there ever a more convenient way of eating? (Thank you all those Deliveroo people on bikes and cargobikes.) On Monday I ordered Carluccio's All-day Breakfast (of which there are 7 versions) for supper..

No shopping; no cooking. The most time-saving thing of all? Well, no shop I have ever visited sells single portions of pancetta, 1 or 2 eggs, 1 or 2 slices of bread, a handful of baby tomatoes. No. One has to buy 'the pack', sometimes 'the large pack'. And after you've taken out your single portion you then have to rewrap and store the rest. I'm not kidding. It's a chore. And then there's the washing up. Just to feed yourself. What do you think, gentle reader? Do you use meal delivery? Does it save you time? Is it value for money?
